Bio
Clive McFarland is an author, illustrator, and educator from Northern Ireland. While studying at Liverpool John Moores University, he rediscovered the books that fueled his childhood imagination and was inspired to create his own stories. Since then, his work has garnered notable recognition, including a shortlisting for the Irish Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year Jr., two AOI World Illustration Awards shortlistings, and selection for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Now based in Northern Ireland, he continues to develop new work in a dedicated space above his hometown library in Omagh—thanks to Libraries NI.
